Dave brings to Parcom almost 30 years of work experience in the high-tech industry.    Prior to starting Parcom, Dave has worked in the telecommunications industry at a company called Nextlink which was founded by Craig McCaw.   Craig McCaw is a pioneer in the telecommunications industry who founded companies like Nextel.    Nextlink (which is now XO) was where Dave managed a vast and diverse information technology department for a region of states from Washington to Nevada.  This prestigious position included managing every major facet of IT support for the company headquarters to networking support for one of the company's largest and important regions.    Before this, David worked for two of the most well known corporations in the world, Boeing and Microsoft.   This is where he worked in areas of data center, corporate support, and many high profile networking departments where Dave was the go to person to get the job done.  And before that, Dave was in the I.T. industry serving a few great companies.  Dave was also a business man in the international trade arena for both technology and general industry.

Now close to 12 years of operation, Parcom is now moving into a the biggest growth phase for the corporation.   Parcom will be expanding rapidly and new and exciting features will be presented to current customers constantly.  Which is all part of Dave's 20 year vision for Parcom.    The last 12 years have been on target in terms of overall financial stability and growth, which is rare in the high-tech industry today.   Dave assures every client that becomes part of the Parcom family that we will be here to take care of everyone for the long haul.    In fact you can contact Dave personally at any time - all customers are welcome to contact our company President as he values every customer.

What is with the title?  Why "Crazy Dave?"

Parcom is not a formal place.   That is intentional as suits or tuxedos are great, but not welcome or necessary here.   We take care of people like family and with regards to business titles, although nice, we are not into that sort of thing here.    The office is a casual environment where soda and coffee is free!   A place where you may find the owner wearing shorts and bunny slippers.   We have fun doing what we do!

In short, we're geeks.  You want REAL geeks to keep your servers running, not some up tight corporate wanna bee! 

"Crazy Dave" was given to Dave by the first set of customers almost a decade ago!   The name stuck because he is still crazy enough to do this business against all odds.  
 

What kind of customer does Dave like to work with?

To be honest, we look for people who want the best, but also are very self sufficient people.   We aren't going to give you free instructions on how to be a web developer, or even set the expectations that you will get the world for a dollar..   We leave that to the big guys and the fly by night hosts!    Honesty is our policy!    We provide a wealth of information via our knowledge base, online tutorials, and via our community forum.    We currently do not offer phone support because it has worked well without it for 12 years.    We have tried to offer tech support call center stuff, even outsourced to India like most of the industry does!    We gave up at that and felt that when we are happy doing what we love and not try to be like someone else, people flock to Parcom and stay with us for good.    We want people who want their last host to be us.
