Can I "park" my domain with Parcom?

Yes.   We do support domain parking here.   Only if you use Parcom as your domain registrar.   Your domain will have a basic under contruction page.

How long does it take to transfer a domain to Parcom's registry?

This depends on your old registrar.  Some are as fast as 1 business day, others can take weeks.   We recommend making sure you are transferring to our registrar service before your domain expires.   90 Days prior to expiration for best results.   Please note that some registrars maintain strict policies that do not allow you to transfer if your domain is within 45 days of expiring!   At Parcom we do not maintain such strict policies as we believe your domain is yours, not ours.   Once you leave your old registrar you will not have to worry about such restrictions ever again.

Where do I get the authorization code to transfer my domain from another registrar?

So many are moving their domains to Parcom and many clients are asking us for the "authorization code" to move their domain to our exclusive and private domain registration service.   This code is provided by your other registrar, not by Parcom.   You must contact your current registrar prior to filling out our transfer form to request the code.   We cannot provide this code nor can we process it for you unfortunately.

Also, make sure you have the registrar UNLOCK your domain prior to transfers on top of obtaining the code.

Important notes:

Other registrars may slow down the process by telling you that Parcom provides this information.  This is not true.   We initiate the TRANSFER but the authorization code and unlocking must first happen at the other registrar not at Parcom.

Some registrars are very desperate to not lose your business - be aware of many tactics such as lowering your rates only to have surprise fees in the far future, or find out you signed a contract for many years of service that the only way out is through stiff penalty fees.   Nothing like that exists at Parcom, but domain registrations is a very competitive industry with many who will stoop to low levels to keep your business with them.

The name servers will not change if they are pointing to another host.  If you wish to have this changed, just let us know after the transfer (not during.)  it is best to take things one at a time.

Do we accept Paypal for Domain Registrations?

Yes.  Very soon!  We are in the process of implementing a Paypal payment process for our domain registration clients who are on our control panel based services.   We have already implemented a paypal renewal process though!
